Dear Adamou, dear all,
Thanks Adamou for your contributions. I think it's essential to make recommendations to the various African bodies that could be concerned, on all the issues we are/will be discussing here. We will discuss about strategies and wrap up recommendations during week 5. It's a good thing that you are participate in this debate and we would be happy if you could be a bridge to decision-makers interested in that suject in Niger!

Indeed Mr Zongo the issue is complex.

But I think that most important for us is to contact the UEMOA and ECOWAS (The Francophonie (French speaking countries organization) and the OHADA have joined in this process) so that a directive on IPR relative to the information society is adopted in the list of legal issues to be dealt with by the high authorities of these organizations. The other issue will be to insert these recommendations in the national legal instruments and best practices and processes will be acknowledged.

I have the the honor to lead that process in Niger; we are discussing with of all structures concerned with these questions: The Ministry of Trade, copyright offices, Association of software developers, national cell for the follow-up of the WTO agreements, Association of the musicians, NGOs that promote ICTs, etc.
